XHTML and CSS - Lists
Lists
In this tutorial we'll be looking at HTML lists, the first list we will be covering is a unordered list. An unordered list it will take the items and make them bullet points, to create lists you use ul tags the ul stands for unordered list.
<html> <head> <title> This is the title. </title> </head> <body> <ul> </ul> </body> </html>
To add a item to your list you use the li tag, this stands for list item.
<html> <head> <title> This is the title. </title> </head> <body> <ul> <li>List item 1</li> <li>List item 2</li> <li>List item 3</li> <li>List item 4</li> <li>List item 5</li> </ul> </body> </html>
Next we'll look at how to make a ordered list, the only difference in a ordered list is that each item will appear numbered, the only difference is that we use the ol tag rather then the ul tag, ol stands for ordered list.
<html> <head> <title> This is the title. </title> </head> <body> <ol> <li>List item 1</li> <li>List item 2</li> <li>List item 3</li> <li>List item 4</li> <li>List item 5</li> </ol> </body> </html>
